Representing Clients Before SSA and Workers’ Compensation Board
ALBANY, April 25, 2018 — Stephen J. Mastaitis has joined Buckley, Mendleson, Criscione and Quinn, P.C. in Albany. He will be a lead attorney representing clients before the Social Security Administration (SSA), and continue representing clients from his former law practice before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and SSA.
Mastaitis was the principal at Stephen J. Mastaitis, P.C., a solo law practice (1996-2017) in Saratoga Springs, concentrating on workers’ compensation and SSA claimants representation, including hearings and appeals. He was a partner and managing partner at Maynard, O’Connor & Smith LLP (1988-96) in Albany.
Mastaitis was admitted to the bar in New York State in 1980 and the federal bar in 1983. He earned his J.D. degree from Western New England University’s School of Law in Springfield, Mass., and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.
He is a member of the New York State, Albany County, and Saratoga County Bar Associations. He has been a member of NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives) for 38 years. He is a former instructor at the Albany Center for Real Estate Education; a former NBI workers’ compensation lecturer. He is a member of the Vincentian Institute Sports Hall of Fame.
